- Before (Initial State): The building’s original concrete balcony slabs were severely unlevel (with slopes exceeding 1 inch) and walls were misaligned. Additionally, critical post-tension (PT) cables and reinforcing steel (rebar) were positioned too close to the surface or left unmarked, preventing standard hardware drilling due to structural risks.
- After (Finalized Installation): Working under site-specific engineering modifications by Engineering Express, walls were shaved down and solid aluminum shims were added to correct slab slopes. Concrete base curbs were constructed at problematic levels to elevate the systems away from internal structural cables. The project concluded with the successful installation of Bone White, postless glass guardrail systems paired with protective bottom aluminum channels to satisfy Florida Building Codes
